About Me

My name is Lulu and I don't look a day over 12... I actually haven't been 12 since February the 4th 2003, back then however I did only look about 8 so I am gradually getting older looking, honest.

I aspire to write a book but most of the time words get jumbled in my head therefore failing to make the journey from my brain on to paper, there is something blocking the traffic of words and it is really frustrating.

This 'word traffic jam' made me decide to create a blog, that way I can write what I want when the traffic clears and creativity does hits me.

You may have read this blog when it was 'LuluSaysss' I have decided to be a little less personal however and changed the name...

I guess I should start off by explaining the idea behind 'The Lemon Unicorn' name.  Basically it's my name in my own version of the phonetic alphabet, with 'The' at the front of it.  Think, 'The Little Mermaid,' 'Harry Potter and THE Philosophers Stone.' ;)

Fantastic idea if I say so myself...

I am left handed, a natural blonde - both hair and brain! I love my sleep, travelling, shopping and I am very passionate about food and anything pink or sparkly.  Living with the fairies would be great.

I tend to use '!' too much and it just emphasizes how excited I get over silly things like... UNICORNS! (I am blessed to have a 'U' in my name, what would my blog have been called without this precious 'U'.

I write a lot about my life, my opinions and medical conditions, it's a good outlet for me.

I will warn you now, I do struggle with my spelling.  While I was at school I got by but as soon as I left and went to college and work it was all so confusing, I had always struggled with numbers in particular but just thought I didn't get Maths.  Some people do, some people don't.  When I was 21 I was asked to do a dyslexic test at my last college, I did it, I was told I needed a further test by a specialist but I left before I could do it (long story) but yeah, I am still none the wiser but it would explain a lot of things...
